The day after their elopement, we jumped in the water for an underwater trash the dress session!  If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know that these are our favourite sessions to do!  And what a treat it is for us to go out to Royal Davui Island Resort and shoot underwater!  Royal Davui has access to a BEAUTIFUL sand quay just a short boat ride away from the island.  You get out there and it’s just beautiful white sand surrounded by pristine crystal clear water!  It’s the stuff postcards are made of!

Due to the tides of the day, we had to wait until mid day to go out to shoot.  So while we were waiting, we took a Hobie Cat out and sailed around the island!  With our job as photographers, we are able to travel to some of the most beautiful places in Fiji, and for this elopement, we were able to have a little fun in between shooting as well!  We’re so grateful to Tara & Mumbles who wanted to make sure we stayed on the island and were able to enjoy ourselves while we were there too!

We had our drone with us and were able to get some beautiful aerial footage and photos for Tara and Mumbles.  When you get out to the sand quay, and hop off the boat it’s like you’re in a little dream world!  It really is picture perfect!

 

Underwater Trash the Dress Session Photos

 

If you want to do an underwater trash the dress session, you don’t have to be a great swimmer.  Tara & Mumbles know how to swim but they weren’t super confident about swimming in their clothes in the ocean.  At the sand quay, we were able to stay in the shallow water and get beautiful photos without putting any risk or stress on Tara & Mumbles.

This was such a fun and beautiful session!  Thank You Tara & Mumbles for giving us the honour of shooting your elopement, and being up for the adventure of our underwater session together!  We wish you all the happiness in the world together!
