I have been waiting and waiting to share this Trash the Dress Sesh with you for the longest time!  Submitting photos to be published can be quite a long process, but it is definitely worth the wait!  We were honored to have Blake and Amy’s Trash the Dress Sesh featured on Pacific Weddings Magazine’s Love Notes Blog, and are so happy to be able to share them with you here on our blog!

Amy and Blake are such wonderful people and we had the best day with them!  From Amy’s first contact via email, I fell in love with the two of them and their love story!  The quick version: the met on a blind date, fell in love, and got married…. all within 3 months!  When you know, you know!  It was like that with Stuart and I, but stretched out over 9 months 🙂  Blake and Amy were in Helicopter Flight School when they were set up on a blind date by friends.  3 months later, they exchanged vows in a little country courthouse before the Army sent Blake away while Amy finished up flight school.  Once Amy finished up, and was reunited with Blake, it was time for her to start planning a “Real” wedding.  After planning nearly 10 different weddings, with 10 different color schemes, in 10 different locations, Blake and Amy finally made the decision to take away the stress and make it a destination wedding (or renewal of vows), the honeymoon (they never had), and a pre deployment/much needed & well deserved vacation.

During the time of us emailing back and forth, Stuart and I had been taking our dog Mochi on walks, and were always inspired by the beauty that surrounds us.  In one of my emails, I asked Amy, if they would want to show up a bit early and start our photo sesh around here before heading out on the boat.  They jumped at the chance and I couldn’t have been happier!  It was a beautiful day and that gorgeous morning light can not be beat!  Amy looked absolutely stunning in her Winnie Couture Dress, and Blake was looking quite handsome as well!  Amy had her Pink Ginger bouquet wrapped in Magimagi and it definitely added to the photos!  Enough words, let’s take a look at the gorgeous Amy & Blake!

Of course Mochi wanted in on the fun and came to say hello!

After our adventure in the fields, we headed out on the ocean!  Of course not everything can be perfect all the time… before heading out, we stopped off at our house, and at some point, we forgot to grab Blake’s pants to bring with us, oops!  We were lucky enough that Captain was wearing some neutral colored shorts (and had a belt!) and was nice enough to let Blake borrow them 🙂  Just another thing to add to the story!  And I think they look great!  Gives a more casual beachy vibe.  Now we always check to make sure the groom hasn’t forgotten his pants 😉
