Stuart and I met Rik and Jess the morning they arrived, before making their way down to the Shangri-La. Even coming off of an early morning flight they were glowing with excitement. They were in Fiji ready to tie the knot and enjoy the day they had been planning for months and months! We chatted for a bit about how the day would flow and what to expect and then they were on their way. I walked away from our little meeting so excited for the wedding a few days later. Rik and Jess so in Love and with smiles big enough to light up the entire day, I couldn’t be happier!
The big day rolled around and the weather looked questionable in the morning, but seemed to clear up quite a bit by the time we drove down to the Shangri-La. Jess was getting ready with her bridesmaids when I arrived and was a beautiful bundle of anticipation! Due to the weather the tide, the beach wedding that had been planned was moved up to the lawn above the beach which was absolutely gorgeous (I would highly recommend the lawn for an outdoor ceremony at the Shangri-La). The weather held up for us throughout the ceremony and just started to sprinkle and rain when we were heading off to take some photos.
Let’s get to the good stuff: photos of Rik and Jess!
Jess had a beautiful dress unlike any other dress I had ever seen! LOVED it!
Boys will always be boys 🙂
With the weather turning on us we had to take cover in a hallway. We didn’t want to lose any of the time we had set aside for photos.
Thankfully we are always prepared with lighting equipment so we can still get amazing shots with terrible light if we are forced into that situation.
There was a break in the rain and we were able to finish up some photos outside!
Jess, you’re simply stunning!
Jess & Rik,
Congratulations on tying the knot! Oh the Places you’ll go!
Such a wonderful occasion and we are so happy to have been a part of it.
Thank You for the opportunity to meet you two! You are such an amazing couple!
We love going home from a great wedding knowing that we’ll see you again at your trash the dress pants session.
I’m excited to share more photos from that too! Coming soon 🙂
