As a Fiji wedding photographer, I’ve come to expect a little heat on the job. Luckily for all those in attendance, this wedding ceremony was held in the nicely air conditioned, beautiful Seaside Chapel. If not for the air-con we all would have been exposed to the full brunt of the heat of this sizzling hot couple 😉 This stunning Brisbane bride and groom turned heads all day as we moved from location to location shooting on the grounds of the beautiful Shangri-La Resort.
For a destination wedding I’ve never seen so many friends and family in attendance. Terry’s mum hails from the tiny outer island of Rotuma and has long since migrated to Australia, but the family ties remain strong and showed in the huge support of their Fiji family.
One of the biggest challenges of having a destination wedding is being able to have the people you want the most to be there. Kirryn was blessed to have her family and close friends there to witness her walk down the aisle in her gorgeous white dress.
I’m incredibly lucky to have my husband Stu working side by side with me. Before the ceremony, I always meet up with the girls and send him off to get photos of the guys getting ready.
Another picture-perfect day for Kirryn and Terry’s Fiji Wedding.
The Seaside Chapel is a dream spot for any Fiji wedding. Sunlight poured through the floor to ceiling windows bathing Kirryn and Terry in brilliant white light.
Moments like this deserve at least two perspectives. While I had a perfect view of one ring exchange, Stu nailed the other one from his angle.
Once again, from my point of view I would have missed this pure moment of warmth and love, so perfectly captured in this middle photo, taken by my favorite 2nd shooter: my husband Stu.
My favorite part of any wedding day is the time I get to spend with the newlyweds. Kirryn and Terry were naturals in front of my lens. Either that or they we’re in such wedded bliss they hardly new I was there 😉 Here are a few of my favorites.
Oh stop it Kirryn! You are too Beautiful!
Kirryn & Terry:
Thank You times a million for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding day!
You two are an amazing pair! I really enjoyed meeting you and your family & friends.
And as if this wasn’t enough… I still have your trash the dress session to share! I can’t wait for you to see them!
Coming soon 🙂
