This was our first time shooting a wedding at Castaway Island Resort and it is such a beautiful Island!  We had been so looking forward to getting out to Castaway to meet Sam & David and capture their beautiful wedding day.  On our way over, we kept hearing about how a cyclone was going to be passing by later that evening, YIKES!  The weather can be a bit unpredictable during this time of year but we were hoping for the best!  It was still nice and clear when we arrived on island so we were keeping our fingers crossed.  Stuart went to David’s room where he was getting ready while I was with Sam in her room where she was getting ready.  Sam looked absolutely gorgeous!

I was so happy that they decided to do a First Look and see each other before the ceremony just the two of them.  The expression and emotion that comes through in the photos is just beautiful.  So the weather held off just until the ceremony started.  The wind and rain was pretty incredible!  It was definitely the strongest that we’ve ever shot in and Sam & David were such troopers and an absolute delight!  They made cyclone weather look GOOD!  They were so happy to be getting married and had the brightest smiles throughout the whole thing!

We were lucky enough that the wind and rain didn’t stick around for too long and cleared up for us to get some beautiful shots of the happy newlyweds!  Enjoy!
