We had such an amazing time with Erik & Micki. From our very first emails I could just tell they were going to be fun! There’s a great story behind how they decided to marry in Fiji and it has nothing to do with themselves. Everything about their wedding was for their family and friends… and not in a “we need to show off for them” kind of way, but something so genuine about wanting those surrounding them to have an amazing experience. I think they succeeding in that!
We decided to do a pre-wedding session the day before they were getting married. They really wanted sunset photos so we planned to have a sunset session. The days leading up to it were stormy and grey and the sunset was non-existent. The day of wasn’t looking much better in terms of the sun putting on a show for us. So we changed gears. We suggested changing the location and making it a more casual session rather than Micki wearing her wedding dress. Since they hadn’t gotten married yet, we didn’t want to risk getting her beautiful dress dirty with the mud and the rain. It was an adventure and everything turned out perfect!
Micki & Erik were so happy to have the chance to see something other than typical Fiji. Yes the beaches are beautiful, but to get out and explore something else… it’s magic. Enjoy! xx
We have so much more to share from our time with Micki & Erik! More posts to come from their wedding day and their underwater portrait session!!!
