Micki & Erik have been together since they were young!  They probably know each other better than anyone!  When it was time for the to plan their wedding, they wanted to make it an event more about others than themselves.  They wanted to make it an experience for their very closest friends and family.  So They decided on a Fiji Yacht Wedding!

Planning the Wedding

With the help of Chelsea of Chelsea Jayne Weddings, they planned an amazing day that everyone could enjoy!  With their small group, they opted to rent 2 villas in Naisoso so they could all spend time and share meals together leading up to the wedding.  It was such a nice feel to get out away from the resorts!  It felt more like home than being at a resort surrounded by people they didn’t know.

They booked out the Bel’Mare to take them out.  It is such a beautiful yacht and was the perfect size for their group!  The Bel’Mare provided lunch onboard and fun activities including snorkeling and a jet ski!

The Ceremony

We arrived at Honeymoon Island in the Mamanucas which is a tiny uninhabited island where the ceremony was held.  The guests were transferred to the island by dinghy while Micki & Erik finished getting ready.  Instead of having a celebrant perform the ceremony, they had family there to take care of their very special ceremony.

The weather had been threatening rain all week, but it held off just enough for us to all get onto the island and enjoy a beautiful heartfelt ceremony.  Just as we finished, the skies opened up and rained down on us.  It was beautiful!  As the guests returned to the boat, we got a few photos in the rain!  It was perfect!  Micki & Erik we’re worried about anything.  They had enjoyed their ceremony, and now were ready to relax and enjoy the rest of their cruise!

The captain relocated us to a calm little cove where we enjoyed lunch and jumped in the water to play!  Remember this isn’t your typical wedding, this day was meant to be the experience of a lifetime for Micki & Erik’s family & friends.  And it sure was!  Jumping in the water to swim and snorkel and ride a jet ski was the perfect after party!

 

The “Reception”

Upon returning to port, everyone went back to the Villas to enjoy the dinner that was catered so beautifully by Taste Fiji.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!
